General information

The conference aims to present the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement to lawyers primarily in Africa. Various actors from the legal profession, but also from business, are to be involved in lectures, discussions and forums. Furthermore, a reference to the bar system is to be established and different approaches to solutions are to be discussed. Finally, the possibilities for the legal profession should be discussed and possible fields of action identified. At the end of the event, the participant from the legal profession should be able to understand the AfCFTA agreement and recognize areas of action.

In addition, the lawyer should get to know cross-border fields of action and get to know country-specific features in cross-border legal transactions. Furthermore, better networking of the legal profession is to be established.
